I FOUND AKAMARUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! my mum stole him… *steals him back* =]
Best news of the day? Got my DS back! Oh yeah, baby uh-huh. After like 2 months of thinking it’s gone, and completely giving up hope of ever getting it back again. .. I think those were the words I used too, “Given up hope.” Yeah, after pretty much accepting the fact that it was gone, We’ve finally been reunited.

My DS has returned!
I was so excited when I got it back. Funny thing is that is was right where I thought it was (long story), but when I got it back it was definitely the best news I’ve gotten all day.
So many times I’ve wanted to play it and couldn’t ‘cuz it wasn’t there. Like sometimes I’d be out and think to my self “I’m in the mood to play this game. Think I’ll play when I get home.” … Alas, I couldn’t. But no more. It’s back and it’s back to playing.
But enough of this! It’s time to get reaquinted with an old friend.
I’ve actually been busy for once since I got back. I work for LA County’s Department of Mental Health. Be careful, you don’t want to see me between 8am and 4:30pm Monday-Friday or else it means you’ve got a problem…
Well enough of that, without further ado, I present to you Leon’s unedited (excluding punctuation and some grammar!) travel log:

The good thing is, 4 hours later its ->

3pm: Lunch time again! No time for it though, on the way to Tokyo. Asian roofs & crop fields. Can’t believe I’m here. Trains fast. Not even on the shink yet. Train has a table to write on ^^. Japan has those stereotypical rivers you see in animu (ppl fish!). Any space not being used has FOREST on it. Saw skoogirl in uniforms train too fast + jailbait anyway. too bad. Having 2nd thoughts on Takamatsu & Fukuoka. If I don’t go this time, I’ll never go. Writing on a train is hard.
I saw an article on Jpn construction workers & their fashion. Just saw some. They’re freakin cool. For Castro-> I saw a Jpn crow looks, like USA crow. Cool drink machines. 3 hours to Osaka. I missed $5 ramen at Tokyo-eki b/c train was leaving when I got there. From the train, Tokyo doesn’t surprise me. Tokyo Station does, though. It makes Downtown LA’s Union Station look like a regular bus stop. Saw “Game Panic” 3 levels at Shin-yokohama. Tina, Maki, Yuri are out there somewhere. Kaz arriving on Friday. Office building called “Techno Center”. Gas station looks just like in “Initial D” . Its 6pm local time & I don’t have jetlag (yet). My sleep schedule is so jacked up. My bullet train is “old” but it goes 200mph. Its like recording a drive on the freeway shot from the side window on 4X FF. If only I could fly this fast…
Odawara has a Robinsons May. Everyone is sleeping. I want to but… I’ll miss the sights. Plus I’m hungry. I see a food stand like where GTO gets stuff from the principal. I need a shower. Too dark to see out now.. Dozing now not writing.
End 9/16
That day I arrived at Shin-Osaka at around 7pm, took a train to Osaka, then to Fukushima station. Got lost, asked for directions, walked a circle around a block, then found the hostel. Passed out at around 8:30pm

Street near hostel in Osaka

Where I had breakfast on the 17th. Too much carbs =X
*Sigh* Today was a day to relax. Hey I worked hard 6 out of the 7 days this week, I’m entitled to a day off. Today, I played around with my camera, did some photo editing, played some video games and watched some vids online. Pretty much just tended to a few of my hobbies. Well, I also ran some errands but let’s not focus on that. I do feel a bit guilty tho. A part of me would like to give this day to some one I care about, so they can have a day to relax. They’re always working for days straight without any days to do nothing. We all need that. A day to do nothing. If I could, I would work so that person could rest. It’s important to work hard when you should, but it’s also equally important to take some time to rest.
Well, I’m going to enjoy what’s left of this day. Come tomorrow it’s back to the grind.
Why? Why were there so many bands? It was like a gauntlet of bands I didn’t care about just to see Kittie. Like a crucible even. Every time a band finished a set I said, “This is it. Kittie’s on next.” But nope. I’m used to like 4 bands, at most, coming on before Kittie. I can deal with that. But 7?! Yeah that’s right 7 bands came on before the headliner. The sad part is, the last 2 or 3 weren’t so bad. They had good stage presents and music to amp you up for the main event, but by they time the came on I was over it. Soil was definitely the best at pumping up the crowd.
Of course, for me, once Kittie came on it was worth it. I just let go of all that and enjoyed their performance. They played a good chunk of their new stuff and some of their older stuff. I’m kinda shocked that they didn’t play Brackish. Though I’ve heard ‘em play it a few times already, so I’m good.
Oh and they were sold out of most sizes for all of the shirts. I did manage to snag a small in one of ‘em, but too bad it’s not a tour shirt. Oh well, I guess.
As of now, I just need to recover.
Can I be anymore excited? I’m gonna go see my favorite band in concert tonight! I’m leavin’ work 2 hours early and going to head over to the Key Club in Hollywood to see Kittie! I cannot wait. Just super, über excited. And I know tomorrow my ears are going to be ringing, my heads going to be hurting, and my neck and shoulders are going to be sore, but it’s gonna be great. Ugh I wish I could bring all you guys with me, but one, I don’t have the money, and two, I know some wouldn’t enjoy it. But don’t worry I’ll have enough fun for 10 people. I’ll let you know how it goes tomorrow.
Man, nothing beats an impromptu visit to Disneyland. Well, not “nothing.” I guess your own personal Jedi body guard would be pretty sweet. Not only could he protect you from bad happenings but you can use him as an excuse for your weird behavior. “It’s not my fault. He Jedi mind tricked me.~”
So anyway, last night I was able to visit Disneyland for a few hours, after work. Even though it was a short visit, it was time well spent and turned out to be a great evening. Right now Disneyland has some things set up for the Halloween season that I think are worth checking out. As per-usual they have the Haunted Mansion decked out in it’s Nightmare Before Christmas duds. Being one of my favorite movies growing up (and still is), it’s an attraction I can’t really get tired of. Aside form the Haunted Mansion Holiday, they have some new things set up for the Halloween season.
The new Halloween fireworks show is a nice addition. My understanding is that this is their first year doing it. Not just a fireworks display, but also features lights, music, keen pyrotechnics, and with some Nightmare Before Christmas aspects mixed in, it’s a pretty fun show to watch. I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing. The other new thing I got to experience is their Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. It’s where they set up various projections of ghost, inside of Space Mountain, that flash and follow you as you go through the coaster. Actually, the ghosts look pretty scary. If I saw this as a little kid, I’d probably get some nightmares from it. So, good job Disneyland.
Oh right, I didn’t get any pictures or video of my trip. Hey, I said it was impromptu. I say, if you can, you should try and check out Disneyland’s Halloween Time, before it ghouls away. … Or some other bad pun.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I do different martial arts. Just like a Ninja Turtle! Except I’m not a mutant … or a turtle, … last time I checked. Anyway, I guess technically I do MMA. Been doing it for a while now, and lately my instructor’s been needing some help with classes. There’s only a few students he can ask assistance from and yesterday he asked me. So as of yesterday, I’m instructing a beginners Muay Thai class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s nothing too big or complicated, just your basic form and fitness. Instructing a class is a big thing, but I’ve been training for a few years now and I think I can properly let people in on the right forms, and what they should focus on. It’s a big responsibility, but I think I’m up to it. I guess we’ll find out, won’t we?
Sai out. (.. I’m not gonna start ending my blogs entries like that, I swear.)
You know when I started adding to this blog I didn’t think I would have much to add. As it turns out, if you keep busy enough, you’ll always have something to talk about. I almost always have something to contribute to the blog, … except for today. Hmm , well it is October, and for me the best time of year. It’s when it starts to cool down, Christmas songs start playing in my head at random, and best off all I get to look forward to my 3 favorite holidays; Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love this time of year. Another thing I’ve come to look forward around this time is Cinemassare.com continuing it’s Monster Madness series.
Cinemassacre is a site done by James Rolf, who (among other things) is a horror movie buff. For the past 3 years he’s done his Monster Madness video series, where he talks about a different monster movie every day for the month in October. 31 videos in 31 days. They’re short vids but there’s a new one everyday of the month, and it’s a good way to get in the of the Halloween season. The month just started so there’s only 6 vids up so far for this year so know is a good time to jump into it.
So see? I did have something to contribute after all. … Even though I didn’t actually do anything.
hey every1… sorrie its been SOOOOOOOOO long. last time i posted i was talking about adding a new class after the deadline and i did!!! YAY… only problem was… i had like 3 days to make up for over a months worth of assignments and reading… was NOT fun at all… *crys* but alls well that ends well and i got a 98 on my stats exam that i added so me very happy rite now *dances*
on a separate note… summer has stepped behind us and the brisk morning air has now come to welcome me on my ride to skool every morning… its nice standing outside but… going 40+ down the street… its bloody cold… XD but thats also fine cuz i love winter. the kaki tree in my backyard is starting to ripen so lots of yummy yummy kaki gonna be in my tummy soon. and besides who doesnt love autumn and winter? the leaves change color, rite now the moon is big and bring in the sky. this to me is when nature is the most beautiful. so if u dont hear from me soon im probably asleep in my backyard under the kaki tree gettin eatin alive by the mosquitoes. =]
