So even though I have been wanting to do this for quite some time, I have decided that now, with the release of Dissidia and my renewed love for Squall Leonhart, to pursue  my Squall cosplay. What made me hesitate before was the fact that I knew that I wouldn’t dare half…(you know) it and would try and try to make it as perfect as possible; probably pouring tons of moolah in this thing. But being around cosplayers and knew a few tricks of the trade, I think I can actually do it. I’m actually excited about making the gunblade :3

A Night Behind the Stars

This post probably could have come much sooner but seeing as how I was like -.- since this saturday, it was stalled lol. Anyways, i was actually picked to work a catering event in some lovely place called Century City, which is next to Beverly Hills. The only details given to me was the address, it was being done by Wolfgang Puck Catering Service, and that it was called Evening Before. So I hauled myself out of bed at 6:00 AM and set out on my journey.

Ok so after about 2 hours I actually make it to Beverly HIlls and I begin walking the streets looking for this hidden little building. So I walk and hit Constellation street and the some fancy schmancy street called Avenue of the Stars (Oooooooo). “Hmmmm nope not it….nope not it…nope not…did I pass it?” Yepps of course it would be some blank building with little numbers and no name. Nonetheless I found it.

I walk towards it and what do I see across the street…an AMC sign. o.O

“Whats this? Macy’s?” O.O Westfeld mall! A mall! Oh and what a mall it was.

Ben and Jerry’s, a PinkBerry that delivers! And some place called The Bread Bar that smelt soooooo good. Oh but that wasn’t the best part: I decided to go into the food court and make sure i eat something good before the event. So I enter and no Burger King, no Sbarro no Cinnibon! Sushi restaurant yes, Korean BBQ and noodles yes, Fatburger yes. So what was I to eat…Korean Ramen!!!! (It came with kimchi too) So I order my soup and decide on a Thai iced coffee. They call my number and whats this? My soup is in a bowl…a REAL bowl. And my coffee: a freaking glass! NO paper cups nor anything of that sort! I actually had to ask someone what to do with the dishes lol.

Ok so the event finally came and some guy was mad because students werent suppose to be be there till 1 even though all were told 12. So we begin by setting up and then finally Wolfgang Puck gets there; we begin to finally prep food. Honestly I have never cut so many apples in my life nor assembled  such large sandwiches. In the midst of the cutting and assembling; I learn that this is an annula charrity thyat takes place before the night of the Emmy’s. So Celebrities galore from what I was told.

After  while I was asked to head to the hot kitchen where the main food was being done. They freaking wanted me to cook! Cook fried quail tempura. I was given wrong directions, waiters were calling me and I almost broke down; I was so close I could feel the each and every nerve in my body begin to serge. Somehow I collected myself and pulled through. 10 hours later, I signed out, tired and worn; I head back to the mall to get some coffee and get picked up.

Oh what a night that was, working for Wolfgang Puck

*stretch and yawn*

Ahh what  lovely day it was today. Could you not help but stand outside and enjoy the grateful weather? I really dont know what could have made this day more pleasant…ooo how about deep fried poptarts??????? Everyone in class was talking about them being at the fair so I must try!

I’m quite sleepy now though so a fried anything isn’t the best idea. Hmm…

I actually wish I could rest my head on someone’s shoulder; care to lend me yours for the night? I promise to give it back.

As bitter as a cherry but just as sweet.

I certainly do not know how to view a day like today; with so many ups and downs, its no wonder I did go postal. All in all i guess it turned out ok. Today in class We cooked the most that we had ever had to within the class time; because of firing windows, most of us were waiting around to serve our dishes. Anyway today was a duck breast with roasted red potatoes, flank steak with rice and asian slaw and a fillet mignon with a twice baked potato. Then sauces. But I think I talk waaaay too much about food now so I’ll change it up a bit.

Ok so I think my partner in class has like every guy after her and its getting annoying. All freaking day its “Hey Angie” “Hey Angie” “Hey Angie” and they come and hug her and poke her. Its like <.< let us freaking cook in peace! Am I the only one who treats her like a person??????? I said to her today “everyone is kinda ‘touchy feely’ with you” and she responded “I know right? Its kinda annoying” but she wont ever really say anything because she is too nice. Also, being her partner kinda means that people try to use me to get to her, leaving me o.O

The only love that is allowed in the kitchen is whats going into your food, peoples! Remember that!

After a long and interesting day, I finally made it back home. I fought through a packed subway train, a packed stairway and a packed metrolink train but I made it. It seriously doesnt even feel like a Friday but everyone keeps telling me otherwise. Now its just a matter of figuring out what to do this weekend. I dont want another filled with blehh. So I’ll just see how it pans out ^^
