Today is the first day of Lunar New Year. This year is a year of a Tiger. Roar Roar Roar. I hope everybody to have a great great new year with a lot of lucks, money, and good health. I wish everybody will be happy and live in peace. (no more drama)
I am so sorry for recently. I haven’t updated our blog or written anything. Recently, I am really really busy with the maid cafe, school, and work. I am trying to organize so many stuffs for the maid cafe. The AniMaid Cafe schedule is FULL. We have so many events that we will be announced soon. I can’t wait
OH YEAH – Vensy is designing a new web site for us. I did a little sneak peak. It was awesome….I can’t wait.
My goal this year is to make the maid cafe to be better and stronger.
I am lucky to be Asian because I can celebrate Two New Years.
Yep….Speed Racer is currently my favorite movie. Since….well….it came out! My best friend thinks I’m crazy because apparantly its a mass of crazy seizure inducing crap. I dont know about anyone but I LOVED it! Its like watching a cartoon with people in it! Speed Racer was the very first anime I saw I was 2. My mom used to put it on for me when I was little, that Gatchaman when it was G-force, and Astroboy. So I FLIPPED out when I saw that it was a live action movie.
The movie is sooo colorful and glorious, I call them joy seizures. Weeeee for christmas my wonderful Aino got me a mach 5 bowl which i use to put my cell phone in when im not using it, and my ringtone when she calls me is the classic speed racer theme so….it plays while in the mach 5 eee *geek moment*
I also have a few of the Hotwheels cars. Mach 4, Mach 5, Race wrecked Mach 5, Mach 6, Shooting star track and rally car *racer X’s car*, GRX, Ghost and the japanese guy’s car. Im currently looking for Taejo’s car. and i found them allll at the 99 cent store SCORE!
When I get married I want a Mach 5 cake…I’m serious because im such a HUGE goober that way hehehehe. So…yes *nod nod* When I get my white Yaris Ima get a big 5 decal on the back window and red seat covers….again because I’m a dork. so off to find Taejo’s car! Tell me if you find it! keyaaa

Happy New Year Everybody! Kchan is so sorry. Kchan always forgot to say “Happy New Year” to everybody. Every year, Kchan celebrate two New Year. It is more reasons for me to eat good food and enjoy more fun times. Kchan hasn’t gone to the Blog for so long. Kchan is a lazy bum – just sat at home and went to Facebook (bad Kchan).

1. Lose Weight – around 5 to 10 lbs by summer so I can wear swimsuit.

Hallo hallo! Welcome everyone back from the holidays and most recently Anime Los Angeles (ALA)! Everyone had fun neh?
So Mikan haven’t really been updating, gomenasai! There seems to be so much to do lately neh~
Anywho, let us go in chronological order shall we?
Firstly, Christmas! I had a chance to spend lots of timewith my friends! This included Koto, Kai, Stae, Mio, and many many more ♥! This year we decided to do TWO secret santas.
Before celebration, Mikan spent morning and afternoon at Koto’s residence, sewing. Though I cannot say that I am a connoisseur, I do enjoy watching the day pass as I make bloomers and skirts. ;P
So we started our celebration with a family dinner at Souplantation. It was my second time at the restaurant! After the good ol’ jolly meal, we went back to Koto’s to exchange gifts! I was so happy when I got mine, put my friends in chokehold XD hee~
First secret santa gift! Got a baby sewing machine and gloomy doll! XD
Second secret santa gift! What could it be?! (yay finally something MELODY!)
It is a Betsey Johnson layering necklace! One of Mikan’s favorite brands [that I have no money for D:] (next to Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs, and Chanel ;D).
And a gift from Kchan! It is Tupac Mashimaro! ;x heehee~

It was a very good Christmas! many gifts given that will be put to good use! (Almost done eating chocolate already heehee~!). I am thankful for having such a lovely group of friends…mucho love!

And all of a sudden, ALA came around! It was my first time at ALA, so I was very nervous. Kchan said there would be two panels, and knowing myself, I wanted to help as much as possible! So Mikan wore maid dress all days (no worries I washed in-between days) to promote/cosplay and for panels. Cosplay? Yes cosplay! Remember what Mikan said will be the cosplay? Mio from K-ON!
So how did Mikan do trying to do this cosplay?

Not too bad neh? Mikan was very very happy and surprised at results! Especially since I cut my hair myself! YESSSHH!!
What made it even better was that Koto, Emi, and Chiyo wanted to do K-ON cosplay with Mikan too! So we had one fun time cosplaying together!
Can goshujinsama and ojousama guess our characters? Hyuhyuhyu~
ALA is a lot more like a hanging-out convention. Very fun and enjoyable. Mikan met a lot of friend con-goers and photographers, and a few goshujinsamas from Facebook too! Thankies for saying hello!
Saturday panel was playing mini games, including JanKenPo, with the goshujinsamas and ojousamas! Everyone was very excited and rowdy, so it was very fun! Two hours went by really fast, so Mikan was a bit sad..
Sunday was the open Q&A panel. AniMaid Cafe talked about maid cafe culture in Japan, rules and regulations, and answered good questions. Mikan got slightly…tomatoed at one part, but let’s skip over that 
. We also got one lucky goshujinsama to dance with some of the maids to our “Mune Mune Kyun” dance. Good fun! After the panel, the extra time was spent for photos and epic Jenga matches. Ah..what a fun con!

I have been feeling sick…my stomach hurts! Christmas is tomorrow..hope I will be ok by then nya?
So this piccu was taken before Mikan’s haircut. Yes, I got a haircut nya! I got a pair of scissors, and shnipped my own hair! Most of the maids and hosts have seen it already neh, but it shall be a (hopefully) pleasant shock for the goshujinsamas and ojousamas neh? Mikan’s goal?

Another great event occurred a few days ago! That’s right, Kchan’s birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ♥. We took over the Japanese grill Gaja, filling half the restaurant! Kchan so popular neh!!
I never realize how little things can be so pretty. While washing/cutting veggies for dinner one day, I realized that the stump looks like a flower! Here’s a pretty close-up:

So this winter, Kai, Stae, Kaname, Mio, and I went snowboarding! I needed bindings, so Mikan bought a pair of white ones (oh so pretty!). It came with a square BORING stomp pad, so Mikan took the liberty to cut something cute on it, heheh~

Before snowboarding, we all gots some food at Los Jilberto’s! This is one of my favorite Mexican food places mm hm! Stae and I shared their huge carne asada fries with a bunch of sauce!
It’s like a mountain!
Other than boarding, Mikan also got to spend lots of time with Koto sewing her SUPER SECRET THINGY. Finally finished. That means lots of num num with Koto neh!
Hooray for yummy sandwich and yakisoba! MMMMmmmmMMmm..
Well too tired to update more! But I wish everyone a
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR! 
I love beautiful stuff. I may not show it very much but I’m a girly girl at heart. A classic simple beauty with ribbons and pearls, ruffles and lace! Pastel colors and LOTS of flowers! Irises and daisys personally hehe. It’s why i fancy Lolita so much. The colors and the styles the poofy skirts and blouses and parasols ahh love. I don’t own lolita yet but i will! yosh!
I also LOVE candy and cakes of that sort, and to be around sweet things. Its like the sugar absorbs into your skin makes you feel all sweet inside. odd way of putting it but i think it gets my point across. Though my favorite color is green and my others are lavender and blue, I find pink a happy color, reminds me of frosting. I also find the sugary happiness in music, trance and j-pop and others.
Lately Iv’e been looking around for items and other ways to bring simple beauty into my life. I bought the cutest kitchen timer in the shape of a strawberry ice cream cone. I got some yarn in colors i wouldn’t normally pick and been reading alot of fairy tales.
Some even have a “Lolita Lifestyle” which pretty much just consists of living how you dress, in loveliness.

I am a crazy One Piece Fan. One Piece is one of the biggest anime in Japan. One Piece is written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The first realease was on December 24, 1997. (Yes one day after my birthday).
Today, One Piece released its newest movie – The Strong World – is directed by Eiichiro Oda himself. Not only that, One Piece released its newest manga #56 with 2.8 million copies was printed. As of today, the manga sold more than 176 million copies – marked the highest selling manga in the history.
This week, Luffy is on a man magazine in Japan. It also has 5 pages of One Piece fashion (I will buy it this weekend). I went to Mitsuwa last weekend and I found a bunch of soda bottle with One Piece on it. It is awesome.
So I am planning to have a One Piece Day aka watching and discussing about One Piece. I love every single thing about One Piece. The story line to character designs are perfect.
The sad new is….Eiichiro Oda is planning to end One Piece in 5 years. He said he has the image of its ending and start working on the last season. (I feel sad – I never want it to end)
I do believe – people who never read One Piece shouldn’t say One Piece is bad because they will never know how wonderful it is.
Please give it a try – you will love it. ^_^

Gomenasai goshujinsama/ojousama~ >__<i Mikan been busy lately so no time to post!
But I am posting now! Ohohohoho~
So Thanksgiving was num-num for me! Started early with family lunch. Ate so much I fell asleep…only to wake up for DINNER! Talk about fatty huh? The whole day was spent on eating… sigh Mikan is going to lose any moe-ness remaining because of FATTY-NESS!
The next day was spent with Koto-chan and our friend. We went to see Betsey Bloomingdale’s donation to FIDM. She donated her lifetime’s worth of haute couture dresses and ensembles. It was great! I love watching how fashion evolves through the years and its impacts on people. I also realized that Mrs. Bloomindale seemed to be rather fond of Christian Dior. >> throws an envious fit << I’m ok!
After that we went to get food at a local plaza-market place. We ended up spending under $6 for a great meal! I had chap-chae (korean glass noodles) with chrysanthemum tea and two little korean snacks. Oishii~! Well worth our money neh! Mikan didn’t finish the snacks, so saved it for Momo and Maiyu when we went over to sew!
After a hard day of sewing, we all finally relax and go to friend’s place to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends!
AND MIKAN FINALLY GOT TOKIDOKI SPOON AT YOGURTLAND! Missing first two though..anyone want to give their’s to me? XD
