emi has been really super swamped with schoolwork lately…! you would think that majoring in comics makes life easier… it doesn’t!! it’s junior year so that means junior thesis! which means a 19 page comic which really, i guess, isn’t much considering some mangaka do that in a week, but i-i’m doing this all alone! and i hate drawing backgrounds… ganbarimasu.

but i also dyed my hair recently!! jyanjyan~~

hahaha just kidding that is a wig @w@// gomen nasai goshujinsama ojousama…

wait! i’m not kidding! i did dye my hair, that is really a wig but it’s pretty much the same color… XD the wig is just curlier and longer :3

fufufu~ batman and robin issue 5 came out today!

i’m sure some people already know this, but emi is a really, really big fan of american comics! Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ

this is why it’s great i go to school in new york city because there are like five comic stores within walking distance from me… hehe ☆ (but that is very bad for my walleto *swt swt*)

i’m a major DC fangirl so my favorite is batman, of course!! “the killing joke” was my first foray and i have been hooked ever since! i’ve been following the batman reborn arc rabidly too, and it’s slowly bleeding me dry…

but the one i’m really looking forward to is coming out next week, and that’s adventure comics 3!!! i’m a big fan of the superboy and robin relationship so this is like a dream come true for me~~~ (>ω<＊) ドキドキ!

here is the collection i brought with me to college fufu ♥ i need to find my watchmen paperback though… it was my first american comic! and then i fell in love with the movie so i started reading other works by alan moore and i read “the killing joke” and then it was all over… (; ・_・)

i also super like “transmetropolitan”, “the umbrella academy”, and lots more (>w<)//

but now i have to go to class… un~ バイバイ~~~ヾ(＾∇＾)

i went to a concert today! ヾ(＾∇＾) it was owl city ♥♥♥

i found his music on pandora.com and instantly fell in love with the song “the saltwater room” (ﾉ´∀｀*)ﾉ it’s so cute and wistful at the same time! i love soft music like that, that’s why my favorite band is stars ♥ my favorite song from them is “calendar girl“. please check them out if you like soft electronica pop/rock!
but yes back to owl city! it was a little bit short because it was only like an hour long because the two opening bands were also an hour long each >_< and also the lead singer adam young was sick and had to chug honey during breaks ): but he still kept on singing and it was just really wonderful!

i went alone but i made two friends there that i’m really thankful for! we waited together for adam to come out after the concert, and it took about two hours but it was worth it >_< he was so nice and gave autographs and took photos with us too (:

good evening everyone ★

this is emi here reporting from new york~ it is 4:30am right now (゜д゜;) i was super tired at 8pm so i decided to take a nap for two hours… and i woke up at 10pm but was still tired so i went back to bed… and then woke up and it was 3:30am Σ(ﾟДﾟ|||)

erm… anyway today was the first day of school! i only had one class but it was super fun! i major in comics so all my courses are super fun eheh ★ speaking of that a comic store near me is having a 30% off everything sale! and i really oughtn’t spend any more money but… :T but i was good and only got batman: hush returns. new comics come out thursday instead of wednesday cus of labor day booooo ヽ(ｏ`皿′ｏ)ﾉ

okies now i’m going to go watch more animal planet and wait to become sleepy again…
