Well, how can I describe what’s been going through my mind these past weeks? Games, games, games. I’m addicted again. T_T

My recent indulgences have been beta testing a good number of games coming out, including Section 8, Huxley, Champions Online, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, and Aion. The two games I’ll be continuing to play are the last two. Recently, I haven’t been able to talk or think about much other than Heroes of Newerth (HoN) or Aion.

As for Aion, that has been my drug for the past week ever since Open Beta started up. I didn’t think I’d be getting into an MMO before the release of Mortal Online (which I’ve also preordered), but here I am, eagerly looking for a Collector’s Edition Box, though I doubt I’ll find one at this point. The graphics are stunning, the combat is beautiful to watch, the gameplay is very fun, and the flight is an interesting aspect I haven’t experienced in previous MMO’s (EQ, EQ2, L2, RO, AoC, WAR, etc…). All-in-all, I think this will be a game I can play for a good amount of time, if not until Mortal Online releases. Even then, I may play both…heh.

The game is planned to release on the 22nd, but for pre-orders the headstart is on the 20th and pre-selection is on the 18th. If I can’t find a CE box by Wednesday, I’ll be pre-ordering the digital download CE so I can get all of my characters named and ready for the 20th. I’ll update the names of my characters once I get them made. If anyone is interested in joining Vensy and I on this game, we’ll be running around on the Asmodian side of the Vaizel server…

Heroes of Newerth has been the game I’ve been playing almost nonstop for roughly 2 months now. It’s a game based off the popular Warcraft III mod “DotA”. Defense of the Ancients or something like that. I never played it, so I’m not too knowledgeable on that, but this game is crazy fun once you get into it. It’s really competitive and takes a little to learn but once you get the hang of it, it gets very addicting…to the point where you wonder how it’s 2am already. lol I’ve already pre-ordered the game to help the development of it out. If you want to try it out, let me know. I have a few beta invites left. My username on there is Nighteyez.

With all that said, I guess I can talk a little about AniMaid Café. I’m really proud to see how far this has come. We have a beautiful site, active forums, a growing gallery and now a blossoming blog (I didn’t do that on purpose, I swear… lol). Helping set up, moderating, and just overseeing these parts of the Café have been very pleasing. We also have more events we’re currently planning, but we’ll update that for you guys once we have a solid plan and date set up. =P

Personal life… I’ve been doing well getting back into school. Now that I’m back on track, I’ll make sure I never stray off of it again. Taking over a year break from school really messes you up. I just picked up another part time job working for my mom at her bar as a bartender…was an interesting first night but I made good money. I’ll try it a few more times to see if it’ll be a more permanent job.

Well, I think that’s a good update for me. Back to work for me. lol
